Completing an E-Signature Request
In Buildend, you may receive an e-signature request for documents such as subcontracts, purchase orders, or change orders.
Receiving the Request
When someone sends you an e-signature request, you will receive an email from Buildend that includes:
- The name of the person who sent the request
- An optional message from the sender
- A PDF attachment of the document for your review (optional to view before signing)
- A Review Document button to begin the signing process
Reviewing and Signing the Document
- Click the Review Document button in the email. This will open Buildend and take you directly to the e-signature request.
- On the e-signature page, you’ll see the full document and two options:
- Decline – lets the sender know you will not be signing the document.
- Mark Complete – remains disabled until all required fields have been filled.
- Scroll through the document to locate and complete any required fields. These may include:
- Signature and initials
- Name, title, or other details requested by the sender
- To sign:
- Click on the signature or initial field
- In the Confirm Your Signature dialog, type your name and initials
- Click Confirm & Sign to apply your signature wherever it’s required
- Once all required fields are filled, the Mark Complete button will become enabled. Click it to confirm and submit the signed document.
After Submission
- You’ll receive an email with a copy of the document you signed.
- Once all parties have completed their portions of the request, you’ll receive a final email with the fully signed document, including all collected signatures.
This completes the e-signature request.
