Assemblies allow you to group multiple cost items into a single reusable unit, streamlining the estimating process for complex scopes of work. Here’s how to create a cost assembly in your Price List:
Navigate to the Price List from the top navigation bar.
On the right-hand side, click + Add Assembly.
Enter the following assembly details:
Description of the assembly
Cost Code
Cost Type
Quantity
Unit of Measure
Unit Cost
Add Items to the Assembly
Under the Add Items section, click Search Items.
Begin typing the name of an existing Cost Item; the system will auto-populate matching results.
Select the desired cost item to add it to the assembly.
Repeat this step to add multiple cost items as needed.
Define Quantity Formulas
Use the Formula column to define how much of each cost item is required based on the quantity of the overall assembly.
This helps ensure accurate material or labor breakdowns per unit of the assembly.
Once all items and details have been added and reviewed, click Submit to save the new assembly.
Your assembly is now saved in the Price List and can be used in estimates and takeoffs for faster, standardized pricing.
