Cost Markups in Buildend allow you to apply additional costs—such as overhead or profit—either as a flat amount or a percentage. Here’s how to create a cost markup:
Click on your Profile Avatar in the top right corner of the screen.
Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
In the left-hand navigation, scroll down to Data Settings and click on Objects to expand the list.
Click on Cost Markup.
Create a New Cost Markup
Click + New Cost Markup.
Fill in the following details:
Markup Name
Markup Type (choose either Flat or Percentage)
Markup Value
Select the Cost Types that this markup will apply to
Optional Configurations
Minimum Value (if applicable)
Maximum Value that the markup can apply to
Enable whether the markup should apply to:
Baseline Schedule Value on a contract
Change Order Schedule Value on a contract
After entering and reviewing all information, click Submit to create the cost markup.
Your new cost markup will now be available for use in estimates and contract configurations throughout Buildend.
