Submittals can be created individually within a project or generated directly from a specification set. This article explains how to manually create a submittal from the Submittals log.
Navigate to the project where you want to create the submittal.
Go to Logs > Submittals.
Select Create Submittal.
Review the Submittal number, which is automatically populated with the next available number in the project.
Enter the required submittal information:
Name
Submittal type
Description
Responsible contractor
Priority
Submitter due date
If a specification set has been uploaded, select the appropriate Specification Section.
If available, select Add in the Sub-spec section.
Under the Planning Information header, enter any applicable information:
Lead time
Required date
Approval
Required approval date
Required on job site date
Attach any supporting files, if needed.
Select Submit to create the submittal.

The following fields are required when creating a submittal:
Number
Name
Type
Description
Submitter due date
After the submittal is created, it is automatically assigned the workflow configured for the Submittal module in the project.
