Overview
Project Settings control how an individual project is configured and managed within Buildend.
Unlike Workspace-wide settings, Project Settings apply only to the project you are currently working in. This allows each project to be configured according to its requirements while maintaining consistent organizational standards where appropriate.
Access to Project Settings is permission-based. The settings and actions available to you may differ from what other users can access.

How Project Settings Work
Project Settings are used to manage information and system behaviour specific to an individual project.
Changes made in Project Settings apply only to the current project. They do not automatically affect other projects in the Workspace.
Organizations commonly configure these settings during initial project setup. Some settings may also need to be reviewed or updated throughout the project lifecycle as the project team, workflows, or requirements change.
Types of Project Settings
Project Settings are organized into tabs for managing different areas of the selected project.
Settings Tab | What It Controls |
Project Information | The project’s identifying details and general information. |
Dashboards | The dashboards available within the project and how project information is displayed. |
Forms | The forms available for use within the project. |
Invoices | Project-specific invoice configuration and requirements. |
Project Team Roles | The roles used to define project responsibilities and support role-based assignments. |
Project Price List | The pricing information available for use within the project. |
Project Workflows | The workflows that control how project records move between steps, roles, and assignees. |
Locations | The project locations used to organize and associate work with specific areas. |
Task Stamps | The reusable stamps available when reviewing or marking up project tasks. |
The tabs and actions available to you may depend on your permissions and the project’s configuration.
When to Configure Project Settings
Project Settings should be reviewed as part of the initial project setup process before active project work begins.
Settings may also need to be updated when:
Project requirements change
Team members or responsibilities change
New processes are introduced
Existing workflows need to be adjusted
Project-specific information needs to be corrected
